Monarda – Bee Balm

What type of care does it need?
It needs full sun and is very easy to care for. It blooms all summer right up until fall. It is a great plant to attract pollinators such as humming birds.

Master Gardeners are in the ByWard Market every Saturday from Mother’s Day weekend until the end of June. If you have any questions you’d like to ask them you can find them at the southwest entrance of the ByWard Market Building from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Pooh Bear – Nicholas Hoare

Pooh Bear has been residing at Nicholas Hoare for 11 Years, almost since the store’s opening.

She has human friends all around the world and has a collection of pictures of her friends who write to her once they return to their homes. Many come back again and again to pay a visit to her and consider her to be “their cat”. Pooh Bear has many devoted fans!

Spring and summer have brought out the colour in each of us again!

Changing over from fall and winter’s dark shades of grey, black and brown we’re now moving into bright new bold colours and some great metallic. The styles this year are reminiscent of the 1960s, 1980 and 1990s.

One of the ByWard Market Streets that’s not only savvy to the trends but are creative and set out their own styles as well is North Dalhousie. A grouping of shops have come together to create a niche area to find great unique fashions carrying a range of products from local designers to designer brands, North Dalhousie is the place to go!
