Rainbow’s Anniversary Party – Fall Blues Series
This fall, the Rainbow proudly celebrates its 33rd year of bringing to Ottawa LIVE MUSIC every night of the week (plus 5 afternoons/week).
In order to celebrate, we’ve put together a fine roster of some of Canada’s best Blues acts, with a special pre-anniversary feature in October: The one and only James Armstrong (from California)- We’re one of his only Canadian stops on his Album Release tour!!!

James Armstrong (born April 22, 1957, Los Angeles, California, United States) is an American soul blues and electric blues guitarist, singer and songwriter. He released three albums on HighTone Records and is signed with Catfood Records. His songs have been used in the soundtracks of three films; Speechless , Hear No Evil , and The Florentine .
Friday Nov 3- The Mud Boys & Dimestore Playboys
Now in their 20th year, the very first gig The Mud Boys played was in August of 1997. Having worked hard on material that was not the usual standard repertoire, The Mud Boys quickly made their mark on the Ontario and Quebec Blues Scene.

The Ottawa-based trio are Canada’s most acclaimed blues/roots music band whose touring schedule regularly includes dates in Europe and major festivals across North America.
