Stew Cook-Off and fundraiser You’re invited to get outside, fill your belly with stew, and help the community during the 18th annual Winterlude Stew Cook-Off Friday, Feb. 6th from The Stew Cook-Off is a favourite for local residents, tourists and businesses in the area. Join the fun at the corner of George and Willam. There are over 20 ByWard Market restaurants participating and some exciting celebrity judges. $10 will get you endless amounts of stew and the proceeds will be donated to charity. Since the event is held outside, dress warmly. Some years it snows and other years it can be pretty cold but the event takes place no matter what, that’s part of the charm of attending Winterlude events.
