Christmas cheer was alive in Ottawa’s ByWard Market on the weekend, with everything from Santa Claus in drag spreading joy, to carolers on the streets performing seasonal hits.
The sunny skies made the brisk temperatures bearable, as families and shoppers roamed the area.
The Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle Campaign added to the spirit in the area, while a man pedalled home with a Christmas tree and wreath strapped to his bicycle, and all around the air was filled with the sounds of a holiday wonderland, confirmation that Christmas was just around the corner.
