New Art Exhibit at 55 ByWard Market Square:

Late to the Party by Zachary Dayler

The paintings presented are acrylic on pine. The initial planning of the works began over two years ago as an exploration of triptychs and the role they played in telling a story or narrative. The concept emerged from the idea that we have people or icons in life we place upon an “alter” in our homes or our minds. The goal is to provide people with an approachable way to celebrate, remember, and learn.

Introducing: The ToastyToes Sock Tree at 55 ByWard Market Square 🧦💙

We were happy to get a visit yesterday from Rebecca Fitzgerald — founder of ToastyToes Ottawa. The new ToastyToes Sock Tree is set and decorated to accompany the donation box at 55 ByWard Market Square. 🎄

The ToastyToes campaign raises funds for agencies to buy new socks for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in our Region. In 2020, more than 1,250 pairs of new socks and more than $1,100 was raised to purchase new socks that were distributed into the local community. With your help spreading the word about this initiative we can ensure everyone has ToastyToes this winter.

Bring a new set of socks to our info booth at 55 ByWard Market square to make a donation or tap on the link in our bio to make a financial donation! The 2021 ToastyToes donation period runs until December 10th - but we'll be accepting sock donations until December 23rd.

Socks are one of the most requested items in shelters. Never underestimate the difference you can make with a pair of warm, dry socks. Socks deliver warmth, dignity, health, caring and comfort.

Marchés d'Ottawa Markets is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of safety for our community members during our market season.
