A lunch-time trip to Morocco at Le Casablanca
With Zackery Liberty

This week, I stopped by Le Casablanca at 55 ByWard market square to take some promotional photos and, of course, try out their renowned Moroccan cousine. Mohamed Elgraini, chef and owner of the restaurant is a man full of enthusiasm for his food and customers. The food is served hot and the tea is poured high above your glass.

The interior of the restaurant is decorated elegantly - art covers the walls and decorative cushions wrap the seating. The storefront is reachable from the street on ByWard Market Square but patrons can also enter from the interior of the market building.

Let me tell you... The lamb plate was phenomenal! Served with rice and an assortment of vegetables - this was probably the best tasting lamb I've ever had. Mohamad served me a hot cup of tea and some baklava for desert.

Would I go again? I'll race you there!

Be sure to say hi to Mohamed and stop by Casablanca in ByWard on your next food adventure.
